On the Electronic Appointment Application at the Verkhniy Lars Border Crossing.

It was previously announced that the Verkhniy Lars border crossing on the Russia-Georgia border would be added to the electronic appointment system currently implemented at certain border crossings by the Russian Federation, effective October 1, 2025. This time, in a letter received from the Ministry of Trade's General Directorate of International Trade in Services, our Moscow Trade Attaché has forwarded the attached User Guide prepared regarding the issues encountered in the electronic appointment system, which has begun to be implemented at other crossing points.

The guide states that: • As of October 1, 2025, crossings through the Verkhniy Lars border checkpoint via the electronic queue system will be coordinated by FKGU Rosgranstroy, a federal state institution under the Russian Ministry of Transport. • To facilitate registration procedures, it is recommended to create a personal account on the GIS EPD portal and add vehicle cards to the system by October 1. Additionally, for foreign carriers, after creating a personal account via phone number or email, all information must be filled in and approval must be obtained after verification.
