In the correspondence forwarded to our Union by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, it is stated that according to the National Energy Plan published by the Ministry in 2022, the target is to reach 7.2 GW of nuclear installed capacity by 2035 and approximately 20 GW by 2053. Within this scope, the establishment of large-scale nuclear power plants, each with approximately 5000 MW capacity, is also targeted in Sinop and Thrace, and negotiations are ongoing with countries possessing the relevant technology. It is planned that preliminary feasibility studies conducted during these negotiations will also identify products that can be sourced from our country. The correspondence further states that information to be collected from our companies through the portal named "Nuclear Energy Supplier Information System (NETBİS)" (https://netbis.enerji.gov.tr), established by the Ministry, will also be utilized.
