In the correspondence forwarded to our Union by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, it is stated that, according to the National Energy Plan published by the Ministry in 2022, the target is to reach 7.2 GW of nuclear installed capacity by 2035 and approximately 20 GW by 2053. Within this scope, the establishment of large-scale nuclear power plants, each with a capacity of approximately 5000 MW, in Sinop and Thrace is aimed, and negotiations with technology-owning countries are ongoing. It is planned to identify products that can be sourced from our country during the preliminary feasibility studies to be conducted in these negotiations. Furthermore, the correspondence mentions that the information to be collected from our companies through the portal named "Nuclear Energy Supplier Information System (NETBİS)" (https://netbis.enerji.gov.tr) established by the Ministry will also be utilized.
