Draft Regulation on Amending the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation

Dear Members,

In the letter forwarded to our Union by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, it has been announced that opinions and suggestions are requested regarding the "Draft Regulation Amending the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation." The said Draft has been prepared to ensure compliance with the amendments made to the Environmental Law No. 2872, to improve provisions that pose implementation challenges, and to take into account technological advancements and innovations in production processes. It is envisaged that the relevant articles of the regulation will be revised, and limited changes will be made to the additional lists. The Draft Regulation, its annexes, and the Comparison Table are included in the Annex. Your opinions on the Draft should be prepared by adding them to the Opinion Submission Form in the Annex, referencing the relevant articles in the Comparison Table, and sent to egemen.batmaz@tobb.org.tr by the end of business hours on October 13, 2025.
