President Sadıkoğlu's Reaction to E-Seizure!

Oğuzhan Ata Sadıkoğlu, President of the Malatya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO) Board of Directors, reacted to the e-attachments imposed by the Revenue Administration on earthquake-affected companies.

Oğuzhan Ata Sadıkoğlu, President of the Malatya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO) Board of Directors, stated that e-attachments (electronic attachments) initiated due to non-declaration-based public receivables have victimized companies.

President Sadıkoğlu, stating that the practice has left earthquake-affected companies in a difficult situation, demanded that the e-attachment application be halted during the recovery process. "All of our members are still struggling with the effects of February 6th. Our companies, which are striving to get back on their feet, face new problems every day. The collection of non-declaration-based public receivables, which are not considered under force majeure, by the Revenue Administration is causing hardship for hundreds of our members. Moreover, we have learned with regret that e-attachment procedures have been initiated against our members who are unable to pay, resulting in their bank accounts being blocked. The blocks placed on bank accounts due to e-attachments initiated without informing the companies are damaging the commercial reputation of our members and making it even more difficult to heal the wounds of the earthquake. For our members whose force majeure status has ended, this hardship can be prevented through an interest-free restructuring; otherwise, our companies face tough days ahead. We have sent our request to the Ministry of Treasury and Finance via an official letter. We will follow up on the process to ensure that the issue is resolved urgently," he said.
