MTSO Board Chairman Oğuzhan Ata Sadıkoğlu, who brought the issue of canceling KOSGEB earthquake loan debts—scheduled for repayment starting in March—to the agenda, met with KOSGEB President Ahmet Serdar İbrahimcioğlu at KOSGEB Headquarters in Ankara to directly convey his request.
During the meeting, Chairman Sadıkoğlu emphasized that businesses that utilized the loans are still in the recovery process and have not yet reached the economic capacity to repay the debts.
Chairman Sadıkoğlu noted that thousands of businesses are still operating from temporary locations, making loan repayments impossible under such conditions. He demanded either the cancellation of loan debts or a deferment of at least two years.
Chairman Sadıkoğlu added that this request applies not only to Malatya but to all earthquake-affected regions, particularly Hatay, Adıyaman, and Kahramanmaraş.
Chairman Sadıkoğlu described the meeting as highly constructive and expressed his gratitude to KOSGEB President Ahmet Serdar İbrahimcioğlu for his gracious hospitality and attention. He also expressed hope that the meeting would yield concrete and positive outcomes.
