With reference to a letter received from the Halal Accreditation Agency, it is stated that the World Halal Summit and Halal Expo, held annually under the auspices of the Presidency, is organized by Discover Events in coordination with the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), the relevant institution of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). It is noted that last year's World Halal Summit, which featured approximately 50 high-level speakers from 18 different countries, addressed critical issues concerning the global halal sector, presented original studies under 10 distinct session themes, and attracted nearly 500 domestic and international companies from 50 countries to the Halal Expo.
The aforementioned event was reportedly held successfully at an international level, with over 50,000 visitors from more than 100 countries. The letter further highlights that the global halal market, currently valued at approximately $7 trillion USD, is expected to reach $10 trillion USD in the near future. It emphasizes Türkiye's goal to become a central hub in this sector, which serves a consumer base of 2 billion worldwide, particularly in food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, tourism, and finance.
In this context, it is shared that the 11th World Halal Summit and Halal Expo 2025 (https://helalexpo.com.tr/) will take place at the Istanbul Expo Center (Yeşilköy) from November 26–29, 2025, and is anticipated to host over 1,000 procurement professionals. The event is expected to feature specialized zones such as the Private Label Products Zone, Natural Organic Vegan (NOV) Products Zone, Modest Fashion Zone, SEFPEX Aquatic Products and Equipment Zone, Country Business Forums, and ETHEXPO Eurasia Tourism and Health Fair, attracting a broader audience. A total of 50,000 visitors, including 20,000 international attendees, are projected to participate. The summit is also emphasized as an opportunity for our companies to gain a larger share in the halal sector through B2B meetings.
