The conference addressed the opportunities offered by digitalization and AI-powered visual production applications, as well as new business models and innovative approaches.
"THE HORIZON OF E-COMMERCE IS OPEN"
In his opening speech at the conference, Basri İlhan, Vice President of the MTSO Board of Directors, discussed the global and Turkish e-commerce volumes. İlhan stated, "The understanding of commerce worldwide is now evolving toward digitalization. Especially with the integration of artificial intelligence into our lives, e-commerce has become increasingly preferred. The e-commerce trend, which began during the pandemic period we experienced in 2020, now overshadows traditional commerce. The global e-commerce volume, which was $5.5 trillion in 2022, rose to $7 trillion last year and is expected to exceed $8 trillion by 2026. Looking at our country, the e-commerce volume in 2024 increased by 61% compared to the previous year, surpassing 3 trillion lira. This figure corresponds to $90 billion. As global commerce changes, we cannot stand against this transformation. Our young and dynamic population, intensive use of mobile devices, and the prevalence of social media indicate that the horizon of e-commerce is open and its future is bright."
"WE OFFER A DIGITAL VISION"
İlhan noted that many companies managed to stay afloat through e-commerce after the February 6 earthquake, saying, "Thanks to e-commerce, there is no longer a need for brick-and-mortar stores. With a single click, you can sell your product to the world. After the earthquake we experienced on February 6, many of our companies succeeded in sustaining their operations through e-commerce. If we want to exist in digital markets, we must focus on e-commerce by leveraging the positive impact of artificial intelligence and ensuring our technological transformation. As MTSO, we are always by our members' side on this issue. We have organized numerous training programs and will continue to do so. With this conference today, we are offering you a digital vision."
Following the speech by Basri İlhan, Vice President of the MTSO Board of Directors, presentations were delivered by Emrah Güler, President of Grapidia Creative Solutions Agency, and Aytaç Mestçi, CEO of Marke Front.
