Prohibition of Watermelon/Watermelon Seed Imports from Syria

Dear Member,

As referenced in the attached letter, violations related to Acidovorax citrulli, a quarantine pest for our country, have been detected in watermelon seeds imported from the Syrian Arab Republic. Furthermore, the letter states that, with the exception of shipments accompanied by Phytosanitary Certificates issued before 01.05.2026, the entry of watermelons and watermelon seeds from the Syrian Arab Republic into our country has been prohibited until further notice.
